So you are moving out of your apartment, you want your security deposit back but you need to leave the unit in a move-in condition. Security deposits or bonds are usually required when leasing apartments. When it is time to move out, tenants have to make sure the unit looks it best to get their deposits back. 1. Dust and scrub off scuff marks and molds from ceilings, walls and floor.
