So you are moving out of your apartment, you want your security deposit back but you need to leave the unit in a move-in condition. Security deposits or bonds are usually required when leasing apartments. When it is time to move out, tenants have to make sure the unit looks it best to get their deposits back. Today, we will discuss everything you need to watch out for to retrieve the security deposit easily.
1.      Dust and scrub off scuff marks and molds from ceilings, walls and floor.
 
2.     Remove all the pins, nails and screws you have fixed on the wall for pictures and painting. Be sure to fill them up as well. If necessary, consider repainting the walls.
 
3.     Make sure the bathroom is free of mildew and molds.
 
4.     Get the carpet cleaned by a professional to make it look new again. This also helps remove dust and nasty smells in the apartment.
 
5.     Don't leave the windows dirty - purchase a window squeegee for that really sparkly finish.
 
6.      Make sure nothing is left on the closets. Remove hangers, boxes, old shirts and other knick knacks.  Be sure to clean this area too.
 
7.     If the apartment includes a stove, refrigerator and oven, be sure to leave them spotless clean as well. Eliminate odors that might come from
